Bucks Escalate Pacers Beef With Hot Comments
The Bucks and Pacers players seem to be growing angry with each other, and the tension between the two teams this week because of Bobby Portis of Milwaukee.
“I mean, obviously, they're the best, bro,” Portis said Tuesday. “You can just write that or whatever it is, bro. When sh-t goes well, they laugh, clap, all that. When things go wrong, they don't say anything.”
Portis said this in reference to the body language, trash talk and technical fouls during Game 2 of the first-round playoff series between the Bucks and Pacers.
His comments were just the latest shot in the arm for Milwaukee and Indiana players.
The whole beef started with an argument over who would keep the ball the night Giannis Antetokounmpo scored a career-high 64 points in December.
Then, when the Pacers beat the Bucks in the In-Season Tournament, Tyrese Haliburton mocked Damian Lillard for imitating his famous “Dame Time” celebration.
Lillard responded by saying, “The many times I've done it to people, I can't be upset if someone else does it… I also know when you have your time, it's important to be careful and humble.”
Considering history has a way of repeating itself, expect plenty of spice when the Bucks and Pacers meet again in Game 3 on Friday.
