Alex Belzile shovel with a rebound of a Nick Petan shot at 8:11 of overtime, giving the Hartford Wolf Pack a 3-2 win in must-win Game 2 against Charlotte at Bojangles Coliseum on Saturday afternoon.
The Wolf Pack and Checkers will play a winner-takes-all game on Sunday for the right to advance to the division semifinals against Providence.
Petan again Ryder Korczak each had a goal and an assist for Hartford, too Dylan Garand (1-1) made 30 saves to help Hartford on its way to its first win of the season in a game they followed into the third round.
