The ATP Tour is not a Secret Society.

However, Daniel Medvedev sarcastically heard a conspiracy when the referee reversed his request to close the retractable roof in Madrid's 5-7, 7-6(4), 6-3 victory over S.ebastian Korda today.

With light rain at the changeover to start the second set, Medvedev pointed out the glaring difference—the chair umpire was dry under the overhang while the players got wet—and asked that the roof of the Arantxa Sanchez stadium be closed.

“You're fine with an umbrella. It's not raining. Maybe you closed the roof, no?” Medvedev told the presiding referee Nacho Forcadell.

The chair umpire replied that covering the roof was not his call.

That answer did not please Medvedev, who replied: “Okay, so call someone for his decision.” He said it's not your decision, call me a person and his decision.”

Forcadell replied that “they” made the decision to close the retractable roof, prompting Medvedev to play the conspiracy card.

“Who are they?” Medvedev objected. “The Illuminati? The Illuminati?”

Devoted fans will remember that Medvedev is a master of creating chaos around the referee's chair.

Back in 2017, Medvedev ended a Wimbledon coin-tossing defeat at the umpire.

In 2018, Miami Open, Medvedev almost beat his opponent Stefanos Tsitsipas calling the Greek on the court.

Citing the Illuminati today, Medvedev has cemented his status as a must-see TV personality even when football is off the table.

There is no Illuminati comment so far about the Medvedev investigation.
