PSG predicted to face Borussia Dortmund

Newly crowned champions of Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain, travel to Signal Iduna Park for the first leg of the Champions League semi final.

Despite being held by Le Havre on Saturday, Monaco's defeat in Lyon the following day saw PSG win their 12th Ligue 1 title and 10th since 2012/13.

Qatar's financial power has turned Les Parisiens into the top club in French football, but their ultimate goal of European glory continues to elude them. However, they have had a good shot at continental success this season as they did well to knock Catalonia out of the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

PSG overcame a first-leg deficit to beat Barcelona in the last eight, setting up a semi-final against Borussia Dortmund. It is a matter of two legs for the favourites, but their performance away from home will be key.

Here's how Luis Enrique can prepare his side for Wednesday's trip to Dortmund.

GK: Gianluigi Donnarumma – There have been some hiccups, but Donnarumma has usually enjoyed a good season in the PSG post. The Italian will be tested in Dortmund.

RB: Achraf Hakimi – Hakimi takes his former club to the main event. His defensive strength and recovery speed will be tested against the lightning fast Karim Adeyemi.

CB: Marquinhos – PSG's record holder has just won his ninth Ligue 1 title. Can he add a Champions League trophy to his cabinet?

CB: Lucas Hernandez – Hernandez has partnered Marquinhos at Barcelona and we should see Enrique keep his right/left foot on Wednesday. The French player has an important role to play in passing the Dortmund press.

LB: Nuno Mendes – The young left-back has been impressive since returning from a long-term injury, and was excellent throughout the two legs against Barcelona. He adds another string to PSG's bow going forward.

CM: Vitinha – Another stellar quarter-finalist, the world is starting to take notice of Vitinha's brilliance and more outstanding couples under the bright lights will see her stock continue to rise.

CM: Fabian Ruiz – Enrique is a big fan of his compatriot, with Fabian showing his ability to not only control the net in the middle of the park, but also provide a source of penetration with his back surgery, too.

CM: Warren Zaire-Emery – The teenager saved PSG's Champions League campaign by scoring at Signal Iduna Park on matchday in the group stages.

RW: Ousmane Dembele – There may not be a footballer Enrique is currently serving more than Dembele, who excelled against Barcelona and is beginning to produce a consistent final third for PSG.

ST: Kylian Mbappe – Often seen alone when deployed on the left, Mbappe has a greater chance of succeeding in central midfield. The French player scored two goals against Barcelona in the second leg of PSG's quarter final.

LW: Bradley Barcola – Barcola has an important talent that helped turn the situation around in the quarter-finals. The Frenchman can be used across the front line, but has had recent success when deployed on the left.
