The PGA Tour is returning to Texas and the traditional tournament format with the 2024 CJ Cup for Byron Nelson, and we're picking the long shot who nearly took home the title last year. Here are our long-standing picks, CJ Cup Byron Nelson odds, betting favorites and everything else you need to know.

Byron Nelson's CJ Cup odds: Long bet

In this week's newly named CJ Cup Byron Nelson, we pick PGA Tour veteran CT Pan to beat the odds and come out on top. Pan's winning odds to start the week remain at +10000.

Pan is a top 50 golfer in the world, who can win every time he plays. He proved that at the 2019 RBC Heritage, which he won to earn his only Tour victory.

So far this season, Pan has only managed one top 10, but it was a good one: a T3 finish at the Mexico Open. Most interesting for our purposes is that Pan finished alone in 4th place in last year's Byron Nelson, just two shots behind eventual winner Jason Day with 23.

If you bet $10 on Pan to win and he wins, you will win $1,000. For insurance, consider placing a small extra bet on the Pan for top 10 and top 20 finishes.

Looking for CJ Cup Byron Nelson long bets? This week's honorees are Adam Schenk (+5000) and Kevin Yu (+9000).

Byron Nelson's CJ Cup rarity: Favorites

Leading Byron Nelson's field as the pre-tournament betting favorite is three-time major champion Jordan Spieth, who enters the week with a rare +1400.

He is followed by Alex Noren at +1800, while three players are tied at +2000, including Adam Scott, Si Woo Kim and defending champion Jason Day.
