Liverpool's best and worst players in their thrilling win over Tottenham
Liverpool returned to winning ways on Sunday with a thrilling 4-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield.
Goals from Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson, Cody Gakpo and Harvey Elliott put Liverpool on top and even a back-to-back from Spurs couldn't stop the Reds from showing Jurgen Klopp's home game.
Here are the best and worst Liverpool players according to 90 minplayer ratings.
Harvey Elliott – 9/10
Starting in midfield following Salah's return to the lineup, Elliott ran the show with a truly impactful performance.
He set up Gakpo's goal with a delicious cross before providing the highlight of the game with a powerful strike from the edge of the box.
Honorable mention
Cody Gakpo – 8/10
It was a surprise to see Gakpo start ahead of Darwin Nunez here but, as usual, Klopp's decision was quickly rectified as the Dutchman played a key role in Liverpool's early dominance.
He grabbed the assist in the opening goal and came up with a nice header in the third, reminding the fans that he still has a big role to play in this team.
Virgil van Dijk – 6/10
Look, it wasn't easy for Virgil van Dijk to perform well, but he will be frustrated by how things started to go wrong of late.
Richarlison's introduction really stretched the Dutchman, who looked tired as the clock ticked down. Perhaps he was not in good health after fearing injury during construction.
