SOUTH BEND, Ind. – It's been a mercurial season for the Notre Dame baseball team. Currently 25-21, their record itself is not strong enough to make the postseason. Their RPI, however, which sits at 52, will at least put them in the main discussion. The biggest problem in that discussion is their conference record, 9-18 against ACC opponents, they have lost twice as many games as they have won.
If the regular season ends today, Notre Dame will be competing in the 12-team ACC Tournament in Charlotte, N.C. That wasn't the case a few weeks ago, as they won.[…]
