NHL rumors: Minnesota Wild, Nashville Predators, and Ottawa Senators

The Minnesota Wild will listen to Filip Gustavsson and Marco Rossi trade calls

The fourth season: The Minnesota Wild have one year of deals and $14.743 million in dead space due to the acquisitions of Zach Parise and Ryan Suter. That limits what GM Bill Guerin can do this offseason.

It is reported that they may check out the mobile goaltender, Filip Gustavsson, who has two years left to eat at $3.75 million. It is unknown what the Wild want in return.

Anthony Di Marco of the Fourth Period: He wasn't traded by the Minnesota Wild, but they would listen to forward Marco Rossi in a 'hockey trade.'

Of the three UFAs pending on the Nashville Predators

Michael Gallagher: Nashville Predators UFA forward Jason Zucker, defenseman Alexandre Carrier and goaltender Kevin Lankinen would all like to return next season.

Believe the Predators must re-sign Zucker. From Spencer Stastney, The Carrier is serviceable. It is possible that Lankinen could be given the starting position elsewhere.

The Ottawa Senators went a long way in Craig Berube

Sens Talk: Elliotte Friedman to Craig Berube who was interviewing for the Ottawa Senators coaching position.

“I think they've gone a long way with Craig Berube and that's because, I've seen reports that Berube feels there's a better set-up elsewhere.

I think there was a financial question about it. Berube is in the upper stratosphere. And I always want to be careful with this kind of stuff because it doesn't mean you're a Sometimes that gets twisted in certain ways and I'm not always comfortable with it.

But I think Berube, and rightly so, everybody is welcome to decide what their value is and Berube is at a stage where, um, you know, the Senators just feel that there's—I just think they feel that there's a better option or a situation where it doesn't make sense to them.
