Kylian Mbappe's last home game for PSG ends in a shocking defeat

Paris Saint-Germain lost 3-1 to Toulouse at the Parc des Princes in Kylian Mbappe's last home game for the club.

Mbappe confirmed earlier this week that he will leave PSG at the end of the season when his contract expires. Although he did not name his next team, he is expected to join Real Madrid.

The 25-year-old's announcement came days after their shock Champions League semi-final exit against Borussia Dortmund, meaning he had just four games left to play for PSG before upping the ante this summer.

The first of those four games came on Sunday evening, with PSG welcoming Toulouse to the Parc des Princes in Mbappe's final home game.

Mbappe opened the scoring just eight minutes into the contest, running onto a long ball from goalkeeper Arnau Tenas before rounding opposition stopper Guillaume Restes and coolly converting.

But that was as good as it got for PSG, who were soon fired back by Thijs Dallinga's equaliser. Although the athletes played the games, they fell behind in the second half driven by Yann Gboho.

PSG threw the kitchen sink in Toulouse in search of a late equaliser, but were denied by a Frank Magri goal in the 95th minute. The defeat meant nothing in the context of the season as the Ligue 1 title had already been wrapped up by Luis Enrique's team.

Mbappe will finish his PSG title by visiting Nice and Metz in Ligue 1 before facing Lyon in the Coupe de France title. He will leave the club as a top goalscorer and one of the greatest players in their history.

While Mbappe prepares to face Toulouse, his potential future Madrid team-mates spent Sunday celebrating their La Liga title with a show in the Spanish capital.
