Titleist unveils 'L grind' Vokey wedge – Golf News
Titleist has expanded its Vokey Design WedgeWorks range by introducing the new L Grind – a tour-proven low bounce lob wedge offered in 58° and 60° lofts, both with 4 degrees of bounce.
Eight of the top 10 men's players in the world currently sport the Vokey Design lob wedge. Seven of those use a lob wedge with 6 degrees of bounce or less, seeking more flexibility around the green and performance in tight conditions.
The IL Grind is a common choice for players looking for a low bounce option with heel, toe, and edge relief. Its leading edge stays close to the ground and works well on hard or tight lies, square or open. Compared to other low jump options in the Vokey range, the L Grind offers more protection against over-drilling.
“The IL Grind is for the player who wants the flexibility of a low bounce wedge,” said Aaron Dill, Vokey Tour Representative. “It's the perfect balance of 'I want to be versatile, but I also want to be a little more forgiving to go with it.' Jumping forward on the L helps reduce digging, but players can still open it and slide under the ball easily. It's a great way for players who want to jump a bit.”
The new Vokey Design WedgeWorks L Grind is available in 58° and 60° (RH) lofts with a Raw finish, and 60° on the LH model only. It has an RRP of £209.
