Declan Rice has “connected” with his West Ham team-mates ahead of Man City's title clash
Declan Rice has been linked with some of his West Ham team-mates and the Arsenal star is in need of a favor from his former club.
The Premier League title will be decided on the final day as Arsenal currently trail Manchester City by two points, and will need to beat Everton and hope the Hammers can take points away from City if they are to win the title for the first time in 20 years.
However, if City beat West Ham they will become the first team in history to win the league four years in a row, meaning Arsenal will miss out on a second campaign in a row.
Rice is in touch with his West Ham team-mates
Rice has been a hot favorite for the Gunners following his £105m move from West Ham last summer.
Lifting the league title would be the perfect end to his first season at the Emirates, with the 25-year-old playing a major role in taking Arsenal within touching distance of league glory.
The Englishman has made 37 appearances in the league scoring seven goals and providing ten assists, which is good for a defensive player.
Before the end of the season on Sunday, West Ham's Vladimir Coufal revealed that Rice had been in contact with other team-mates ahead of their trip to Manchester.
“I think of him [Declan Rice] she was in contact with english guys, but she never texted me! He is an Arsenal player, so he cares about Arsenal and their performance,” Coufal told Sky Sports.
“I have never been in contact with anyone at Arsenal, so they have their battle and we have ours.”
The West Ham defender also admitted that he has been getting a lot of messages from Arsenal fans.
“I've been given free coffee for life! “I have a lot of Arsenal fans around me, my son plays football, so I have a lot of Arsenal fans there,” added Coufal.
“I got messages from them like, “Your first Premier League goal is coming!” and things like that, it would be really good, but we'll see. “
For Hammers manager David Moyes, it is his last game in charge of the club, and it would be a great way out if his side can stop City from creating history, something his former employers Manchester United would be very grateful for.
