The Bears rolled back to take a 2-0 series lead | TheAHL.com

Ivan Miroshnichenko scored two more goals Hunter Shepard stopped 22 shots as the Hershey Bears followed up their Game 1 with a 4-2 victory over Hartford in Game 2 of the Atlantic Division Finals at the Giant Center on Saturday night.

Down two games to one in the best-of-five series, Hartford returns home to host Game 3 on Wednesday evening.

The Bears outscored the Wolf Pack 10-3 in the first two games, holding Hartford to a total of 38 shots on goal in six innings.

Miroshnichenko opened the scoring at 2:50 in Game 2, and doubled the lead in the second period. The 20-year-old forward, who was selected by Washington in the first round of the 2022 NHL Draft, has scored five goals in his last three games.

Ethan Frank scored his fifth goal of the postseason, too Hendrix Lapierre scored his third goal of the game with a deflection Jake Massey point shot.

Shepard held the Wolf Pack scoreless over 57 minutes, allowing just two late goals off the rebound. Jake Leschyshyn again Adam Sykora.

Dylan Garandwho missed Game 1 while being traded back to the New York Rangers, returned to the Wolf Pack and stopped 23 shots.
