The king of clay arrived on the grounds of Roland Garros for what could be his French Open farewell.

Fourteen-year Roland Garros champion Nadal appeared fit and relaxed ahead of his first Roland Garros practice session.

The 22-year-old Grand Slam champion received a standing ovation from the packed crowd at Court Philippe Chatrier for his opening routine.

The energy level during Nadal's practice session was high, which makes you wonder how loud Court Philippe Chatrier will be in Nadal's first French Open match.

Roland Garros starts on Sunday.
