Golf Business News – Scotty Cameron adds long design models to putter range

In addition to his 2024 lineup of new Phantom mallets, Scotty Cameron has introduced two new Long Design models for players who want to stabilize their stroke with a more balanced, more connected feel when holding and manipulating the putter.

Specifically designed with 38 inches by 38 inches of solid, custom shafts and heavy heads using tungsten sole weights, the new Phantom 11 Long Design and Super Select Squareback 2 Long Design putters help calm the player's hands and grip the shoulders for improved stability in the putting stroke. The increase in overall length and weight, coupled with a harder, longer grip, keeps the putter balanced, while the overall stroke is reduced.

The new Long Design models, with an RRP of £479, can be ordered in custom lengths from 36-inches to 40-inches. Each putter combines the Super Select and Phantom lines' multi-material construction, double milled face technology and refined aesthetics.

Super Select Squareback 2 Long
With a solid milled face and a single 6061 forged aluminum plate, the Super Select Squareback 2 Long Design has the wide body, medium head shape of the Super Select Squareback 2 mallet but includes the Long Design sole weights, a heavy grip. and a custom shaft.

Phantom 11 Long
Designed with the same head shape of the new Phantom 11 and 11.5 models, the MOI Phantom 11 Long Design offers improved arrow alignment features with its heavier head and custom grip and shaft construction.

Scotty Cameron said: “A lot of the conversations we have with players these days are about new programming features or finding ways to keep their hands quiet when they are hit. We took two of our most popular models – the Super Select Squareback 2 and Phantom 11 – and created a balanced result with a long shaft, heavy head and heavy grip. This helps the player to engage the major shoulder muscles in the stroke. It's a concept we've developed over the years working with travel coaches that can benefit players everywhere.”
