Arsenal are looking for a striker this summer, but Gunners pundit Charles Watts doesn't seem too convinced by transfer rumors linking him with Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez.
Specially speaking CaughtOffside in his latest column for the Daily Briefing, Watts explained that although he is a fan of Martinez, he has never had any concrete mention of Arsenal's interest.
This isn't the first time we've seen the Argentinian linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium, but despite his name popping up in the press more than once over the years, it seems Watts' sources haven't really. gave him anything more tangible or convincing than that.
It will be interesting to see if there is room for this change any time soon, but for now Watts suggests that you may need to pay attention to Arsenal's links with the likes of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko.

Discussing Martinez and the latest on Arsenal's striker plans, Watts said: “Lautaro Martinez has been a name regularly linked with Arsenal over the last few years, but the links never felt like they had any substance. He is not a player that has been mentioned to me as a straight man, despite Arsenal's need for a quality player.
“Martinez is obviously a quality player. You don't hit the level he hit with Inter Milan unless there is something special about you. But I'd be surprised if these links we've seen from time to time with Arsenal ever turn into something tangible.
“Arsenal want to sign a striker this summer. There is no doubt about that. But my understanding of the situation is that any new addition is likely to be a potential signing, rather than someone with Martinez's profile.
“And when I say possible, I don't mean an 18-year-old player with no real experience in the top league, but a striker along the lines of Benjamin Sesko who, while a work in progress, is still looking. he is ready to come in and make a big impact on the team immediately.”
