Real Madrid have set a new 'price limit' in their pursuit of Alphonso Davies

Real Madrid have reportedly set a price limit for signing Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies this summer.

Davies has long been wanted by Madrid and will enter the final year of his contract with Bayern, limiting what the German giants can get for him in the form of a transfer fee. But his threat to leave as a free agent in 2025 could force Bayern's hand to sell if a new deal cannot be agreed.

Davies and Bayern are believed to have been at odds over contract negotiations, with the player demanding a salary commensurate with his status as one of the world's best in his position. The club has released its pledge, which falls short of what Davies' camp has requested.
