As they did in Thursday's opener, Hershey gave up the game-tying goal in regulation but pulled out the overtime win, taking a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals with a 3-2 victory over Cleveland in a sold-out Giant Center on Saturday.
The series shifts to Cleveland with a best-of-seven Game 3 scheduled for Tuesday evening.
Pierrick Dube was the hero of Game 2, scoring the winning goal at 13:54 in overtime. The game started with Dube forcing a turnover behind his net and skating before pouncing Jimmy Huntington on the offensive blue line. Huntington hit Dube with a return pass and Dube scored Jet Greaves glove side for his second goal of the postseason.
David Jiricekwho scored with 19.1 seconds left in regulation in Game 1 to force overtime, did it again in Game 2, firing a shot that went wide. Hunter Shepard with 1:33 left and Greaves on the bench for an extra attacker.
The contest was scoreless until Garrett Roe scored for Hershey 5:25 into the second period. Josh Dunne answered Cleveland before the break.
Ethan Frank gave the Bears the lead again with 8:39 to play, his fifth straight game with a goal.
Cleveland outscored Hershey 20-3 in the third period and the first 10-plus minutes of overtime, but the Bears responded with a 7-1 run in shots to end the game.
Shepard (8-1) made 34 saves on the night and improved to 6-0 in his career in overtime playoff games.
Greaves (5-3) stopped 27 shots for Cleveland.
