Waking up to the event.
That seems to be the work of a 29-year-old man In Jabeur who finds himself back in the Roland Garros quarterfinals for the second year in a row.
The Tunisian, seeded at number 8, enjoyed a 6-4 6-4 victory over tough opponents in Denmark. Clara Tauson. With the win, Jabeur secured his place in the Paris last eight for the second year in a row.

Jabeur's next match is expected to be against the No. 3 seed Coco Gauff.

The 21-year-old Tauson, playing in his first round of four majors, kept things close with Jabeur throughout the match.
However, it was Jabeur's ability to drag Tauson to the net that frustrated his opponent for a long time. Jabeur put Tauson in the net 28 times, yet Dane won half of those points. Many times after Jabeur had managed to win, Tauson could only smile in recognition of his opponent's talent.
Before Paris, it was a rough season for Jabeur who came in with a subpar 7-9 record and dealt with some physical issues.
“I'm very happy with the way I'm playing right now. To be honest with you, I have been training well since the beginning of the year. “Maybe not losing any, like, practice sets or anything, but yeah, during the games it wasn't that good,” said Jabeur in a press conference. “So it was frustrating at first, but I think hard work will pay off. I had to be patient and ready for moments like this, to be in the quarterfinals at the Grand Slam.”
The talented Tunisian, who has reached three major finals, has found his form again. And that made the fans happy, including the Tunisians who support him in the tournament. Jabeur took time to entertain himself during his courtroom interview.

“I regret it now (laughing). I don't know. I felt like the crowd was singing the whole game. I felt like singing with them,” Jabeur said afterwards when asked about the song. I think most Tunisians know this song. It's, like, amazing, step by step to the final. Something like this. It's a mix of I think Arabic, French, and Italian.
Jabeur next faced Gauff in the 2021 Roland Garros quarterfinals which Gauff won in straight sets. Gauff currently leads the team overall at 4-2, but Jabeur is looking forward to the challenge.
“I like the way Coco plays, and I like the way Coco talks in general. I think he is mature for his age. You are an amazing person too. It will be a very tough game. He's such a fighter, you know, on the court. I hope I can play well and be able to play my game because I know I can trouble him too. But it will be a really big fight between us.”
