Yuka Saso showed who she is after winning the US Women's Open.

Hello friends and happy Spy Sunday from the US Women's Open! Congratulations to our new champion, Yuka Saso. I invite you all to take a moment and compare your 22-year-old self to the 22-year-old who just won his second award.
The last round was full of drama and excitement, but I want to talk a little about real golf and about all the kind things Yuka Saso has done. after win at Lancaster Country Club today.
At the award ceremony
After the last team finished playing, Saso returned to the 18th green for the cup event. A few tech workers started pulling the microphone and speaker wires before the event started, and Saso quickly picked it up and helped them move the wires out of the way. While other people on site were preparing the US Women's Open champion to receive her trophy, the champion herself was helping others.
Saso got angry when he talked about the way his parents treated him. She said she won the 2021 US Women's Open for her mother, and this one was for her father. I don't think many 22-year-olds have the maturity to contemplate the big moments like Saso did here, but then again, most 22-year-olds don't win their second US Open either.
While talking to the media
When Saso entered the interview area after the award ceremony, he saw a bottle of water on the interview table. He looked at USGA president Julia Pine and asked if she wanted water. When Pine explained that the water was placed there specifically for Saso, the master gave it back to Pine. “Are you sure you don't want to?” he asked. I think he made sure Pine was in the water five times before his post-round press interview officially began.
The thing that impressed me the most about Saso's publisher was how passionately he spoke about the USGA. Of course, you will love the organization that holds the big winner twice. But he mentioned several USGA employees by name not once, but twice during the interview. First when I thanked the governing body, and then I asked him with whom he would celebrate the victory.
Most pros are polite and thank people after winning a tournament, but I've never seen a player call out certain people in the media the way Saso did. You can tell him that you know quite a few people from the USGA and really appreciate them.
Next we have Saso trying out whoopie for the first time. When Saso realized that he was going to try out in front of about 50 people, he decided to turn around in the middle of the interview to take a break. Extremely creative! He said it was fine, but he cut himself after just one bite to save his blood sugar. Later, he said he wanted a caesar salad with bacon. A gal after my heart!
Meeting new fans
Some players will return to the fans after their media engagements to sign autographs, but Saso took things to another level on Sunday night. Signed hats and flags between the 17th green and 18th tee in time his cycle on Sunday. Can you imagine? He still has minutes to claim the win, and instead of staying completely dyed, he took a moment to look through the holes and make a few days for new fans.
By the time Saso finished the interview, it was almost 8pm. A few new fans were shouting his name, and Saso took a few minutes to introduce himself and sign autographs.
Saso even signed the child actors and said he felt better as he left.
Saso's golf proved that he is a worthy champion twice, but his behavior afterwards will be missed this week the most.
