Treble winner on the radar; target is eager to move
Football FanCast brings you the latest Rangers transfer roundup.
The Gers failed in their pursuit of the Scottish Premier League after collapsing during the run, which could give Philippe Clement plenty of food for thought as we head into another transfer window, ahead of the Belgian's first full season in charge.
With a possible return to the Champions League ahead, here's what the Ibrox giants have been up to before the summer window officially opens.
The latest Rangers transfer rumours
Transfer to
Calvin Phillips: Rangers are thought to be among the clubs interested in Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips, who is expected to be allowed to leave on loan next season. Celtic are one of the potential signings.
Phillips played a minor role as the Citizens won the treble in 2022/23, before spending the second half of last season on loan at West Ham United.
Reuel Walters: Philippe Clement is also interested in versatile defender Reuell Walters, whose Premier League contract with Arsenal recently expired. Rangers are listed as one of the teams monitoring his situation as they look for a new club in 2024/25.
Thomas Galdames: Reports say Godoy Cruz defender Thomas Galdames wants an early exit from his current contract, which expires in December, amid interest from Rangers. It is believed that Galdames is determined to move on as the summer window opens as he intends to continue his career in Europe.

Ianis Hagi: Reports emerged in Turkey last month that the club are keen to put Ianis Hagi on the trade list, and Philippe Clement will deny the Romanian a chance to prove his worth. Hagi spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Alaves, where he failed to make much of an impact.
Rangers 2024/25 transfer confirmed
Transfer to
Rangers' summer business began when Mohamed Diomande's contract changed completely following his loan move to Danish club FC Nordsjaelland, with the Gers also obliged to buy.
He was joined by Brazilian defender Jefte, who joined Fluminense after spending the last year on loan at APOEL in Cyprus.
Recently, Oscar Cortes extended his loan spell at Ibrox, although he has signed a buyout agreement next summer, where he will sign a four-year contract.

Rangers sale 2023/24
Rangers were ruthless in their departures last season, with a number of long-term players coming in at the end.
Players like Ryan Kent, Alfredo Morelos, Glen Kamara, Scott Arfield and Fashion Sakala have all played big roles at times over the past few seasons, so it must be a strange feeling for fans to finally see them go.
