Wilson introduces new Staff Model utility iron – Golf News

Wilson Golf has expanded its Professional Model range by introducing a new utility iron to help players fill the gap between their short fairway wood and long iron.

Offering complete flexibility in the field for better players, the new Staff Model RB Utility iron is designed for use outside of three long groups, from the accessible fairway-in-two par fives and anywhere you need a club that needs to be shaped with precision.

Featuring tour design specifications and input from Wilson tour players, including three-time Major champion Padraig Harrington and four-time PGA Tour winner Kevin Kisner, the RB Utility iron has a softer, narrower topline to attract the better player.

Refined clubhead shaping redistributes weight to both the toe and sole, Wilson engineers found an improved center of gravity mid-to-bottom that improves forgiveness, playability and power.

The hollow body construction produces improved ball speed, shot shaping power and aerodynamic efficiency, while the strategically placed rib structures inside the head create maximum stability on miss hits. The high-strength C300 steel clubface achieves explosive ball speed with a soft feel.

The new Staff Model RB Utility is available in 18°, 21° and 24° loft options (RH only) and comes equipped with a stock True Temper HZRDUS GEN 4 Black shaft and Golf Pride Z Grip. It has an RRP of £220.
