The Amundi Evian Championship, the only major event held in continental Europe for both men's and women's sport, has increased its total prize fund for the 2024 renewal to $8 million – with the winner expected to receive $1.2m.
Since its inception in 1994, the Evian Championship has been affirming its desire to improve the performance of women in sport and to support its progress in equality. This is how the long-standing competition is going in terms of prize money, thanks to the support of its Sponsors Club, which includes Amundi, Rolex, Danone and Evian; a program shared by all major women's tournaments in the world and supported by the LPGA for several years.

We expect to put it together in July.”

Since the grand opening in 2013, the fund has grown by more than 146%. The purse has grown by $3.5 million starting in 2021, and the winner's share of $1 million was received for the first time in 2022. By 2024, the majors will now award at least $46.9 million, an increase of more than 100% in just three years.
The increase to $8 million means a $1.2 million prize money for the winner, and another step towards global sporting equality.
This year's Amundi Evian Championship is being played from July 11-14 at the Evian Resort in France.
