Granit Xhaka is “sure” Arsenal's Carlos Cuesta will manage the big club
Many football fans may not know who Carlos Cuesta is but the Arsenal assistant coach is making waves at the Gunners, and Granit Xhaka believes the 28-year-old is destined to be the first in the sport.
The Spaniard was brought to the North London outfit in 2020 to work under Mikel Arteta at the age of 25, and now 28, Cuesta has climbed the ladder to become one of the Gunners' most trusted coaching advisers.
Fans may know Cuesta from his appearance in All or Nothing: Arsenal, where he was often seen having one-on-one moments with Arteta's teammates.
Speaking about the 28-year-old player in The Athletic, former Arsenal star Granit Xhaka believes that the Spanish coach is going to the top of the game as he worked with him at the Emirates Stadium.
“I'm sure that one day Carlos Cuesta will be the manager of a big, big, big club,” said the Bayer Leverkusen star.
“I say this because he knows what he wants, he has clear ideas. I am sure that one day we will see him on the phone as a manager.”
Can Arsenal's Carlos Cuesta reach the top?
Xhaka's words are great and show how impressed he is with Cuesta who he worked with at Arsenal.
The situation the Spanish coach finds himself in at the age of 28 is very impressive and considering his age, the Gunners coach has plenty of time to develop his skills and learn from the best of Mikel Arteta.
It is too early to say whether Cuesta will manage one of Europe's stars one day, but Xhaka's words are encouraging as the Spaniard continues to make a name for himself in the world of football.
