NBA commissioner Adam Silver emphasized that Caitlin Clark will not have an easy career path, but urges everyone to give her time to adjust.

Ever since Indiana selected the Iowa standout as the first overall pick in this year's draft, the Fever rookie has been the center of discussion and debate about her impact on the WNBA and its players.

“I think it's Caitlin [Clark] you know, in the end he has to prove himself, and you can't anoint the stars in this league,” Silver he said during an appearance on ESPN's pregame show, “NBA Countdown,” before the Celtics' Game 3 win over the Mavericks in the NBA Finals.
