Giant and Liv Faith Full-Suspension Youth Mountain Bikes

Designed specifically to improve smaller riders, the new Faith range from Giant and Liv features purpose-built suspension, frame geometry and slim, lightweight body components.

Giant and Liv, world leaders in bicycle technology, have introduced their new Faith range of youth-specific trail bikes with front and rear suspension settings, variable wheel sizes, and features designed for smaller, lighter riders.

The new Faith range is the first since Giant and Liv – a collection of high-performance, full-suspension bikes that complement classic mountain bikes but are designed and engineered specifically for kids. From lightweight aluminum frames with youth-specific geometries to new proprietary suspension setups, improved Wheel Systems, and ergonomic touchpoints for smaller bodies, every detail has been carefully considered to develop new riders.

Children face unique challenges along the way. These bikes target those challenges with a variety of wheel sizes and suspensions tailored specifically for them. Giant's proven FlexPoint rear suspension system with Crest FloTrac Lite shock delivers a smooth, responsive feel on the trail. Up front, new Crest Lite suspension forks with FloTune Lite dampers help kids tackle technical terrain with more confidence and control.

The new range includes two models. The Faith has the new Giant TRA Wheel System with a 27.5 inch front wheel and 26 inch rear wheel. The wheels borrow key features and technologies from the race-proven TRA Wheel Systems for adults including WideGuard technology to improve rim strength and reduce the risk of flats. The compact Faith 24 is equipped with 24 inch TRA wheels front and rear for light weight and easy handling.

All Faith models have youth-specific cranks and brake levers, as well as Contact Switch AT Lite seatposts that help younger riders find their easy-to-use mounting and dismounting positions, and handle bars.

Tuned Youth Suspension

Both Faith models feature FlexPoint rear suspension systems with Crest FloTrac Lite shocks. This linkage-driven, single-pivot system creates consistent damping and spring performance throughout its travel, isolating the rear shock to provide minimal bump sensitivity throughout the wheel path. The result is a smooth, responsive feel throughout the shock's stroke without harsh bottoming out.

The Crest FloTrac Lite Shock is designed and built in-house to match the kinematics of Giant's lightweight rider suspension platform. Custom tuning creates responsive damping and springs that require less effort. Paired with Triple Flow Path technology that continuously stabilizes shock motion, the Crest FloTrac Lite offers smaller riders added traction and control without compromise.

The Crest TR Elite Lite and Crest SL FloTune Lite forks are designed to deliver high performance suspension for light weight riders. Low-friction action and the latest Giant FloTune Lite damper combination for responsive control over rough terrain. In addition, all Faith models feature Unified Suspension Setup, a guide displayed on the forks that shows maximum air pressure and damping setup recommendations for both the rear shock and fork based on rider weight.

The Faith Series has 135mm of smooth rear travel paired with a 140mm Crest SL FloTune Lite fork, both tuned specifically for riders weighing less than 62kg. The Faith 24 series has 130mm of rear travel and is paired with a 140mm Crest TR Elite Lite Fork, both tuned for riders weighing less than 46kg.

It's fast and efficient

ALUXX SL's high-performance aluminum frame with youth-specific trail geometry is combined with quality lightweight components to reduce weight and give kids maximum control. The result is a bike that is easy to maneuver in technical terrain.

The new youth-specific TRA WheelSystems borrow key technology from the proven adult TRA WheelSystem to improve climbing skills and quick acceleration. Alloy rims with hollow construction 5mm rim walls strengthen impact protection while reducing weight, allowing for smooth ride and suspension performance. At the rear wheel, a strong 72-tooth freehub helps maximize power transfer for quick acceleration.

Off-road control

The WideGuard technology in TRA WheelSystems is used to create lighter, stronger rims that allow for lower tire pressure and better traction without the risk of punctures or rim damage.

The mixed-wheel setup on the Faith combines the quick grip of the 26-inch rear wheel and the improved power of the 27.5-inch front roller, while the smaller-diameter wheels on the Faith 24 reduce weight, improve handling, and make it lighter. so that little riders can steer and ride with confidence.

The Contact Switch AT Lite seatpost has a low-pressure cartridge that makes it easy to engage the lever and requires less weight to lower the saddle in steep, technical conditions. With adjustable travel settings and a flexible cable actuator for mounting on smaller frames, it's an easy setup that gives smaller riders maximum control in a flexible environment.
