The £35 million defender wants to join Maresca as Chelsea look ahead to a new signing
The £35 million player, who will represent his country at Euro 2024, is keen on a move to Chelsea this summer – and is clearly in high demand for the west Londoners.

After sealing the free transfer of Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham, the consensus is that Chelsea could still bring in another defender.

The west Londoners are likely to bring in a number of forwards this summer.
Veteran and fan favorite Thiago Silva left Stamford Bridge in a Bosman deal with boyhood club Fluminese, and while Tosin's arrival would do wonders to rectify that, Fabrizio Romano says another defensive ace could come in during the busy summer window.

“It's going to be a busy summer for Chelsea,” said Romano of Chelsea's transfer plans after bringing in Enzo Maresca to replace Pochettino.
“It won't be completely crazy but they will try to make some smart things happen, including a new goalkeeper and I expect them to try at least one centre-back, but maybe two.”
Apart from West Ham, Chelsea conceded more Premier League goals than any other side in the top ten last season, and there were defensive weaknesses for all to see in some games.
Doubts surround the futures of both Ben Chilwell and Marc Cucurella. Indeed, GiveMeSport claims this week that Chelsea could choose to sell either of the two, as they also plan to bring in a new full-back to replace them.
Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez, who will wear Hungary's jersey at Euro 2024, which starts on Friday, has been linked as an option for Maresca's squad. The 20-year-old played 28 league games for Bournemouth last season, catching the eye of England players, and Chelsea chiefs are believed to have been talking about signing Kerkez behind the scenes.
Kerkez wants to join Chelsea after emerging as a key target
GiveMeSport have an update on this from 48 hours ago, and they say Kerkez is keen to join Maresca at Chelsea.
They also say that the defender has emerged as a top priority for them, amid speculation that he could cost around £35 million to prize him away from the Vitality Stadium. Kerkez has a growing reputation and performed very well last season, despite being a very young player performing at the highest level.
“Milos is a good guy. He's crazy, in a good way. He's always straight and smiling,” said teammate Matt Ryan.
“Hopefully he can improve a lot in England and grow even more. He is fierce, strong and has many qualities. A unique skill set. Bournemouth will be stronger because of him. Milos still has a great job ahead of him.”
