The latest in Next Contracts by Igor Shesterkin and Juuse Saros
Dave Pagnotta of the Fourth Season joined Steve Kouleas and Chris Steward on the Sirius XM NHL Network Radio Power Play Segment on Monday and was asked what the number will be for Igor Shesterkin going forward.

Steve Kouleas: “Is there any news on Igor? What are you hearing? Is it going to be seamless? Is it going to be as easy as $11 (million) times eight to do? Close, or is this going to be a little shaky?”

Dave Pagnotta: “It's possible because I don't think eight will do it.” I think it will be more than that. You probably watch, I should think, 10 once a year on Igor Shesterkin's AAV with them. And, you know, Saros, he's one year old at his party.
I think Nashville understands that the price is there. It's an Ilya Sorokin deal so you're looking at eight, eight and a quarter, maybe eight and a half. I don't know if it gets there. But Nashville knows that number from the offseason, so you know, you have to make a decision at some point. They will continue to have questions about him and other teams.

But Shesterkin is getting better, and he will get paid more. I think you're looking at about 10 a year, maybe a little more, depending on how things end up going. But I'd be surprised if it's less than 10 million in Shesterkin's next contract.
