RockShox has released the new Charger 3.1 damper

RockShox has released the new Charger 3.1 damper, which will be available on other 2025 RockShox forks. RockShox also announced an update to its SuperDeluxe and Vivid rear coil shocks as well as major changes to the Trailhead App that hosts both Sram and RockShox products.

Building on the proven Charger 3 platform, RockShox has worked with its riders to make the Charger 3.1 an even more efficient fork damping machine. While reducing overall wear and tear on the system, clever internal upgrades have extended the range of Low Speed Compression (LSC) and High Speed Compression (HSC) adjustments.

A wider range of adjustments means more room to find your sweet spot and perfect riding experience. No matter where you ride, you can find your best settings. With the new Shim Tune Kits, you can customize your heater to your liking. The revised forks also feature a revised bushing package, resulting in lower friction potential for the improved system as a whole.

MY25 SuperDeluxe rear shock

“To take an award-winning product to the next level, the updated Super Deluxe focuses on damping improvements to provide meaningful performance benefits. We've redesigned the main piston and reservoir to allow for improved oil flow to give you less compression for better traction, whether you're flowing in berms or rock gardens Designed for any and all-inclusive riding, we've revised the damping range controlled by external compression adjusters to a range that's easy to use, compatible with more bikes, more riders, and more country.”

MY25 Vivid Coil rear shock

Vivid Coil builds on the coil spring's signature efficiency with advanced technology and features. The basic coil spring isn't novel, but the damping system, design, and architecture of the Vivid Coil bring all of RockShox's technology to bear on a finely tuned suspension component that allows riders to tackle increasingly challenging terrain. Designed to match any course, the Vivid Coil features TouchDown technology—a position-sensitive damping system that's forgiving at the start of the stroke while staying firm during and at the end of the stroke—and Adjustable Hydraulic Bottom Out to adjust your compression inside. the last 20% of the journey.”

Updated TrailHead app

Mountain bike suspension offers riders a wide range of interaction and customization, which can be difficult for anyone. Where do you start? TrailHead is all about educating and empowering riders to get the most out of their setup. TrailHead has been rebuilt under the hood and comes with an updated look, better graphics, better flow, video support, and an improved rider experience. A series of new features make TrailHead more powerful than ever.

New Charger 3.1

“We updated the pipes with a Low Speed Compression circuit to simplify the oil flow path, allowing more oil to flow through the LSC when the regulator is set to Open. 68% more oil flow. This means less compression reduction, so able to hold on to traction and manage to dampen low-speed trail noise.

During testing, our World Cup racers requested a high-speed meltdown for an even more supportive ride on the fastest tracks. We've increased the size of the High Speed Compression pyramid, to create more damping when the HSC modifier is off, so you can add the exact amount of support you need.

Revised low speed compression (LSC) circuit.

68% more oil flow means less wear when the LSC is in open position for more comfort.

The new high speed compression (HSC) pyramid.

Increased cushioning when the HSC is in the closed position so you can add the exact amount of support you need.

New shim tune kits

With two compressions and three repeatable tunes available, you can customize your damper to your liking.

Modified modifiers

Clear the tags to see your exact settings.

New internal floating coil springs (IFP).

A new, stronger coil spring equals increased oil flow throughout the system and improves consistency and control.

New valve check spring

The revised design means further reduction in drag stress.

A strong, quiet type

No distractions, no noise pollution—let's not forget, the Charger 3 platform is a completely silent damper design. A damper designed to give you the chance to get out of your head and tune the exact combination of damping settings for your riding style, and the trail you're on.

Revised bushing package

Our innovation initiatives represent lessons learned from all development projects. During BoXXer's recent development, we fine-tuned our ride-testing protocols and advanced testing at our Colorado Development Center. We have made improvements in our factory to ensure the highest level of manufacturing quality and consistency, all to ensure that riders get the best performance products right out of the box.

The result is a new bushing package available on all ZEB, Lyrik, and Pike models. We have developed new manufacturing specifications for re-engineering the lower legs around the new bushing sizing requirements, resulting in the lowest possible friction for an improved system as a whole.

Updated to push to perfection

Our relentless pursuit of perfection has led us to refine the curve design of Pike's air spring. We added an open top lid to increase the volume of the Pike's negative air chamber. This makes getting off the ground even easier, improving overall traction and small bump sensitivity”
