Golf Business News – RUFF Golf launches in Switzerland – Five new locations to open soon

Swedish indoor golf concept RUFF is launched in Switzerland. The first location is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2024. In total, there are plans to open five RUFF sites in Switzerland by Markus Gaggl, who now owns the franchise rights for the entire DACH region.

RUFF Golf has sold the master franchise rights to Austrian Markus Gaggl, which means he is taking on the role of franchisor in the area. He already owns the franchise rights in Austria and Germany, which means that he now owns the rights in the entire DACH region.

Alex Bengtsson, CEO of RUFF Golf says: “We are strengthening our position as the leading player in golf entertainment in Europe. It is also exciting that every DACH region now has a single master license. We have already worked with Markus Gaggl for two years and in two countries, and I have great confidence in his ability to start and operate RUFF facilities in Europe.”

The agreement is valid for ten years and the plan is to open five centers in Switzerland within five years. The first two sites will open at the end of 2024 in Bern and Lucerne. During the year, RUFF will expand in Germany with another new golf center in Düsseldorf.

RUFF Golf already has three facilities in the DACH region and eight in Sweden through a franchise system. This latest partnership will bring the total number of centers in Europe to 32, and all RUFF Golf centers are equipped with the latest Trackman technology.

Alex Bengtsson continues: “Indoor golf is a new phenomenon in Switzerland, as in many other places in Europe, but the growth potential is very good. We are seeing an increase in interest in golf, and new ways to play and have fun, which is exactly what we can offer. With RUFF, we want to revolutionize golf and make it accessible to everyone.”
