Sheringham tells Spurs to sign £60m Gallagher another Ange would love
Tottenham legend Teddy Sheringham has now given his verdict on Spurs' summer transfer plans in an exclusive interview with FootballFanCast, and has told the Lilywhites to seek a $60 million star bid for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.
Spurs are determined to make more attacking players behind Timo Werner
Following their agreement to keep Timo Werner on loan for another season, it is agreed that manager Ange Postecoglou could benefit from further attacking additions.

You are a very good name.
The German initially put pen to paper on a temporary switch to Spurs in the second half of 2023/2024, including an option to make the deal permanent for around £15 million.
However, chairman Daniel Levy has renegotiated terms to keep Werner on loan for the rest of the 2024/2025 season – with a new deal including a cheap buyout clause set at £8.5 million next summer.
Supporters will also be pleased to see that Tottenham are expected to make attacking players more than this, with the support of reliable journalists such as Alasdair Gold, following their announcement of Werner's stay.
Postecoglou has fared very well in his first season without club record goalscorer Harry Kane, with most of their goals coming from Son Heung-min, Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski.
However, Son's future is up in the air as his contract expires next year, while Richarlison has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia for a suitable offer.
Spurs are therefore in the market for further options going forward, and Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze is believed to be a must. There are rumors that Postecoglou's side will soon open negotiations for Eze, while the possible departure of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg could open the door for them to make a move for the Chelsea star who has been heavily linked with Gallagher.
Teddy Sheringham has urged Spurs to sign Eze over Gallagher
Levy and the broader recruiting corps only have so much money to spend this summer, so they'll have to weigh their next move carefully.
Speaking exclusively to FFC, in association with Poker Sites, pundit and Spurs hero Sheringham has urged Spurs to take Eze over Gallagher – explaining that the £60 million Englishman would be a better fit and type of player who is not liked by Postecoglou.
“I like Eze – maybe more than Gallagher,” said Sheringham, when asked who would be better suited.
“The more players you have who can open up the defence, especially if you look at the way Ange Postecoglou wants to play, the better he is. He likes players who can get on the ball and open the defences, I would say Eze, although I like Conor Gallagher he is also different from Eze, he is more of a worker and connected more to make things happen, but I would be happy if he goes to Tottenham too.
Eze impressed under Roy Hodgson and Oliver Glasner last campaign, netting 11 goals and six assists in all competitions – form that has been deservedly rewarded with a place in Gareth Southgate's England squad for Euro 2024.
He also averaged a goal every 208 minutes, with fellow scout Alan Hutton explaining to the Tottenham News that Levy would have no problem paying £60 million for Eze.
