The club are making a move to sign the Newcastle striker today

Newcastle United midfielder Miguel Almiron is reportedly attracting renewed interest from Saudi Pro League side Al Shabab, and the club will attempt to make it official today.

Almiron has been a key player for Newcastle, but the Magpies may now be ready to let him go for the right price due to Financial Fair Play issues.

There is no doubt that Eddie Howe will be worried about the ongoing transfer rumors linking star players like Bruno Guimaraes et Alexander Isak who may leave St James' Park this summer, especially since the club will want to stay on the right side of the Financial Fair Play rules.

Although Almiron is a useful member of this Newcastle team, it would make more sense to invest in him if possible, as it would mean that the club is not too eager to accept offers from other star names.

Almiron had interest from Saudi back in January, although a deal never materialized at the time, although that interest still appears to be there now.

NUFC fans will hope that the club can get a good deal for Almiron if he leaves, and it is expected that this will be a record deal for Al Shabab.
