This week at the ATP events at Halle and Queen's Club, the serving clock starts after the point ends.
Earlier, the 25-second clock started after the chair umpire called the scores. Under the previous rule, chair umpires could give players a few seconds of rest after marathon rounds by delaying the announcement of scores, which added a few extra seconds.

After his results 7-6(3), 6-3 loss to Jack Draper at Queen's Club todayAlcaraz blasted the rule as “insane” and said he intended to speak to ATP officials about it.
“The presiding referee told me that the new rule, the clock never stops, after the end of the point the clock starts,” Alcaraz told the press at the Queen's Club. I'm not bad for players.
“I finish the point in the net, I don't have time to look for balls, I'm not talking about a towel, no, I don't even have time to go for balls. I'm crazy, I've never seen you in tennis.”
