Words and photos: Olive Tutt

Olive recently returned from the Handmade Bicycle Show Australia in Melbourne where she caught up with some of the talented local Aussie frame builders. Take a look.

Woods Bicycle Co.

Woods frames are handcrafted from steel in the Northern Rivers of NSW. The El Camino is their top-of-the-line pivot dual suspension enduro frame, which is on display with a gearbox model. El Camino frames are compatible with a number of different wheel and setup configurations or can be customized.

Devlin Cycles

Sean Doyle builds his steel frames in QLD, his Jester Enduro frames run low while the Oisin short tourer is fully custom built. The displayed builds came in at around 14.5kg and 12kg respectively, very impressive numbers when it comes to metal.

H tech

HTech Bikes builds their amazing frames in Perth from a combination of wood and carbon that brings out the best qualities of both materials. Performance bikes have an amazing aesthetic.
