OMAHA – For the first time since 2012 the College World Series played three full games in one day. In 2012, and because of the weather the day before, South Carolina beat Kent State, Arizona beat Florida and South Carolina beat Arkansas to answer the final day of the three-game series.
Today, Florida defeated Kentucky, 15-4, Tennessee defeated Florida State 7-2 and Texas A&M blanked Florida, 6-0. All of this means that Tennessee and Texas A&M both advance to the championship series after playing in a three-game undefeated bracket and therefore will have no games to play.[…]
