OMAHA – There may not be a pitcher in the College World Series more different than Tennessee senior lefty Zander Sechrist.
In a CWS filled with a sea of 92-96 mph hitters, Sechrist is the opposite. He is an example of an exception. He's the guy you look up to and wonder if the radar gun on the scoreboard might be broken. Good evidence? At one point in Wednesday's 7-2 win over Florida State to advance to the CWS Finals, Sechrist threw a few soft breaking balls. First – 70 mph. Another – 69 mph.
