Heading into the KPMG Women's PGA Championship, World No. 1 Nelly Korda has been the headliner of her golfing career. But on Thursday at Sahalee, it was the grand old champion at the end of his career that stood out the most.

29-year LPGA veteran Lexi Thompson, who recently announced her retirement at the end of the season, opened with a one-under 68 in Round 1 to take a one-shot lead.

Sitting directly behind him on the leaderboard tied for second, however, is Korda, who is hunting his second major win of the year.

You can watch the second round of the KPMG Women's PGA Championship on TV with Golf Channel starting at 6pm ET on Friday. Peacock will offer a special early broadcast beginning at 4 pm ET and then a full live simulcast on Golf Channel until 10 pm ET.
