Tyler Denny, Felix Cash Make Weight For DAZN NXTGEN Headliner In Birmingham

Felix Cash needed two attempts but managed to lose weight without leaving the stage.
Saturday's DAZN title moves forward as all fighters were under the contract limit at Friday's weigh-in. Wokingham's Cash was just over the 160-pound mark in his first attempt, but stripped off his birthday suit and was registered at 159.92 pounds. Locally based Tyler Denny weighed in at 159.54 pounds in their scheduled middleweight title fight.
The fight is on with Matchroom Boxing NXTGEN this Saturday from the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham, England.
Cash (16-0, 10 KOs) will fight for the first time in eighteen months. Injuries and other things kept him out of the ring for a long time. The layoff included two failed attempts to move forward with a scheduled fight against Austin 'Ammo' Williams.
In his previous outing, Cash handled Celso Neves in a grueling eight rounds. He suffered an injury to his left eye, which affected his performance even though he was undefeated.
Denny (18-2-3, 1 KO) has been relatively active.
The 32-year-old southpaw from nearby Rowley Regis has won all three of his fights in 2023. His campaign began with a ten-round decision over Brad Pauls (16-0 at the time) last February. It was his sixth fight in a row against an undefeated opponent.
Denny followed that up with a ten-round decision over veteran Macaulay McGowan (20-5-2, 5 KOs) last May 6 at the same venue. His year ended with an eighth-round stoppage of Matteo Signani last November 18 due to his lone career stoppage.
