Saudi sides have been in talks with Partey about a move to the Middle East, which would leave Arteta short of numbers in that area of the club. Jorginho recently signed an extension to keep him at the Emirates, but Mohamed Elneny will leave when his contract expires.
Meanwhile, up front, Arteta is keen to sign fellow youngster Kai Havertz, so Arsenal's potential new striker will certainly be one to watch in the coming weeks.
Defensively, it is believed that the Gunners could find a new centre-back or centre-back to give Arteta more support in the starting eleven. Doubts surround the fitness of Oleksandr Zinchenko, while Kieran Tierney looks set to be sold by Arsenal this summer.
“There is good that cannot be denied, but there is also obvious bad,” said journalist Charles Watts to Zinchenko.
“The thing is that right now, maybe for the first time since he joined, the negatives are starting to outweigh the positives. Arsenal's side has improved a lot under Arteta. Last season Zinchenko was an important part of it, but now his place in the starting XI is up for debate.
Jakub Kiwior, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Ben White all feature as Arteta's other options for full-backs, but Arsenal are believed to be keen to bring in a natural full-back to provide additional width.
Arsenal have made a bid for Ferdi Kadioglu
Fans will be very familiar with the heavily linked defender, Turkish international star Ferdi Kadioglu.
The Fenerbahce defender, who is representing his country in Euro 2024, is said to attract Arsenal. There were even suggestions that Kadioglu is willing to sign and may have agreed to join, and although this has not materialized, a report from Turkey says that an offer has been received by Edu.
Ajan Spor claim that Arsenal have made a £17 million bid to sign Kadioglu, but Fenerbahce have rejected their first approach and could hold out for as much as £34 million.
It remains to be seen whether they will be successful in their pursuit of the 24-year-old, but they will face stiff competition from Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund.
