“Remember what it was like…” Harry Kane responds after England's criticism
England captain Harry Kane has responded to the recent criticism he and his team faced after their recent draw with Denmark.
Although they won their opening game of the tournament, beating Serbia 1-0 last Sunday, there were many questions about their performance as they went into the second half.
The questions have turned into criticism after their disappointing 1-1 draw with Denmark earlier this week when Harry Kane's debut was canceled out by Morten Hjumland's stunning long-range goal.
When asked about criticism, especially Gary Lineker, Kane responded by urging the England striker to remember what it was like when he was playing.
“I would never want to disrespect any player, especially, you know, a player who wears a shirt and knows what it's like to play for England.” He said Sky News.
“Perhaps the players who used to play or who used to be professionals now should understand that it is very difficult not to listen to them. [what they say] now,”
