OMAHA – The difference between being shut out in the CWS finals to win the national title and being forced to play a game-winning game on Monday could come down to two pitches.
Ask Texas A&M and Tennessee in a game where the Vols won 4-1.
After winning the series opener at Tennessee on Saturday, the Aggies entered the second game looking for a little magic. Justin Lamkin needed another day off, and the Aggies didn't dare throw to Evan Aschenbeck or Josh Stewart unless they held the lead in the final two or three innings.
