With Wimbledon fast approaching, the seven-time champion Novak Djokovic he's already on the practice courts, just 19 days after surgery to repair his right meniscus.
That fact alone, is yet another incredible triumph for the world-beating legend. What follows may be even more surprising.
The Grand Slam king hopes to be ready to play at SW19 when the knockout stages begin on Monday 1 July, but will only play if he feels he can make a difference in the tournament.
If no one else can take his place, say the native of Belgrade.

“I will only play if I know I am in a good condition to go a long way in the tournament and fight for the title, that is the condition,” Djokovic said on Monday, according to the BBC. “I'm leaving. take it day by day and make a decision.”
The World No.2 was playing Argentina's Federico Coria on Monday, and played a few games – surprising news considering Djokovic was under the knife three weeks ago in Paris. Whether or not he decides to play at Wimbledon, Djokovic's quick recovery bodes well for the Olympics and the US Open, where he will continue his march toward history.
“Rehab is going in the right direction every day, a few percent better and better,” Djokovic said. “That's what gives me hope and encouragement to continue.
“I'm taking things a little bit at a time. I'm not 100 percent yet but hopefully that will come in the next few days.”
