France vs Poland: Preview, predictions and schedule

France ends theirs Euro 2024 group stage trip against Poland on Tuesday afternoon.

Didier Deschamps' team was not guaranteed to enter the playoffs but they are good as they have collected four points in the meetings with Austria and the Netherlands. Their place in the last 16 will be guaranteed with a win or a draw against Poland or if Austria fail to beat the Netherlands.

The 2018 world champions have been underwhelming in their opening group games, sneaking a 1-0 win over Austria thanks to an own goal and drawing with the Dutch with Kylian Mbappe sitting out. Despite boasting an incredibly talented squad, none of their star players have scored in Germany.

It could be even worse, as it is in Poland. Robert Lewandowski's injury proved costly and they became the first team to be eliminated from the tournament after their recent 3-1 defeat against Austria. But again, Poland have been frustrated on the big stage.

Here it is 90 min Guide to France vs Poland at Euro 2024.

Mbappe was a substitute in Friday night's draw with the Netherlands after breaking his nose in the opening game. The masked Frenchman will play again in the tournament and could return to the line-up against Poland.

Aurelien Tchouameni has been replaced by his new Real Madrid teammate as he missed the end of the season with Los Blancos. His return saw Adrien Rabiot come out on the left and Marcus Thuram play in the middle.

France predicted to face Poland (4-3-3): Maignan; Kounde, Upamecano, Saliba, Hernandez; Rabiot, Kante, Griezmann; Dembele, Thuram, Barcola.

Poland will play their final Euro 2024 match on Tuesday but life could have been different had Barcelona striker Lewandowski been fit for the start of the tournament. Having missed the Netherlands 2-1, the captain returned to the bench against Austria last week.

Having started the first game, Bartosz Salamon was fit for the bench against Austria due to injury. However, he could be part of the trio against France.

Poland predicted to face France (3-4-1-2): Szczesny; Bednarek, Dawidowicz, Kiwior; Frankowski, Slisz, Moder, Zalewski; Zielinski; Swiderski, Lewandowski.

Despite not scoring a single goal at Euro 2024, France should find life easy against Poland. Even without Mbappe, Les Bleus should put Poland's sluggish defense under pressure as they chase the top spot in Group D.

France have kept four clean sheets in a row – including one that was a bit lucky against the Dutch – and should have no problems stifling Poland's lackluster forward line while flexing their muscles at the other end of the pitch.

Prediction: France 2-0 Poland
