Mitch Marner trade rumors “100% not true”
David Pagnotta: There have been rumors since Monday night that Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner will be traded to Utah.
Marner's camp last night said it was “not 100% true.” The representative of the Maple Leafs team also called the report completely untrue.
The Nashville Predators are scheduled to play on July 1st
Nick Kieser: Nashville Predators GM Barry Trotz said they will work in free agency as much as possible.
The San Jose Sharks are looking for scores and notes on their RFAs
Sheng Peng: San Jose Sharks manager Mike Grier said they are looking to add scoring and competition to their roster through a trade or free agency.
Grier said the Cam Atkinson reports are not true. (it was reported that Atkinson did not want to be traded by the Flyers to the Sharks)
The big term Grier is looking to get out of free agency is about four years.
Curtis Pashelka: Grier said defenseman Calen Addison likely won't return. (He is a pending RFA who will not be eligible and will be a UFA)
On their RFAs: “All those guys are still with our team.”
Eric Stephens: Greir said contract negotiations with RFA players Luke Kunin and Filip Zadina have begun.
Teams will need to step up if they want to land Trevor Zegras this offseason
David Pagnotta of the Fourth Season: Trade talks involving Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras are expected to begin this week. The asking price is too high and a move may not happen this summer.
Among the teams showing great interest are the Chicago Blackhawks, New York Rangers, Montreal Canadiens, Philadelphia Flyers, Ottawa Senators, Nashville Predators, Calgary Flames, and Buffalo Sabres.
There are those close to Zegras who think he will go well but he is not waiting for anything.
Ducks GM Pat Verbeek doesn't want to trade Zegras for picks and prospects. If someone does not stand up, Zegras may return with Dada next season. heard that Zegras is ready to return.
