PING offers consumer price swap for G430 MAX 10K HL driver – Golf News

PING has announced a program that allows owners of its G430 MAX 10K HL (High Launch) driver the option to exchange it for a standard G430 MAX 10K at no additional cost.

The offer is made in the event that any customers make a purchase decision based on the HL version with a combined MOI of 10,000 g-cm2.

“We realized that some golfers may have concluded that the 'HL' version of the G430 MAX 10K has the same inertia values as the standard G430 MAX 10K,” said PING CEO and President John K Solheim. “Today, we're clarifying that while the HL has a much higher MOI, and offers the forgiveness and distance that PING drivers are famous for, it doesn't reach the combined 10K MOI limit due to the light backweight that makes it suitable for slow travel. speed bowlers.

“For golfers who may have purchased a G430 MAX 10K HL in hopes of reaching 10K combined MOI, we are offering them the opportunity to replace their driver with a standard custom built G430 MAX 10K free of charge.”

The HL structure combines a lightweight backweight (silver in color and marked High Launch), shaft and grip to create a custom structure aimed at slower golfers who expect to swing faster with a lighter overall system, adding more speed to launch their shots. up and away.

“We believe that the majority of G430 MAX 10K HL owners are very satisfied with the performance of their drivers and we want to reassure them that their decision to put it in their wallets is a good one,” said Solheim. “It is important that we stand behind our products in this way. If they bought their driver because of a misunderstanding of the club's combined MOI value, we want to do the right thing and exceed their expectations.”
