Bulls Could Move On To DeMar DeRozan – Basketball Insiders
The Chicago Bulls have been one of the busiest teams this offseason. They traded Alex Caruso for Josh Giddey and drafted Matas Buzelis with the 11th pick in the NBA Draft. However, one looming question hanging over their heads is what to do with DeMar DeRozan. DeRozan will be one of the most sought-after free agents this summer. However, it looks like the bulls will move forward and start rebuilding even though the team is interested in returning to the Windy City.
“Like I said before, we'll look at everything,” Arturas Karnisovas said when asked about DeRozan. “Everything is on the table. And you know, it's still an option.”
DeRozan and Giddey certainly won't be a good fit in the first rotation. The Bulls are also currently shopping Zach LaVine which means a full rebuild could be underway.

DeMar DeRozan's Tenure With Chicago
DeRozan had success on his own for the Bulls despite the team's flaws. In three seasons with Chicago, the three-time All-NBA Team member averaged 25.5 points, 1.1 steals, 4.7 total rebounds, 5.1 assists per game, and a 49.6 percent field goal percentage. He also achieved a 119 offensive rating, an offensive box plus/minus rating of 2.4, and a true shooting percentage of 58.9 percent during his time with the Chicago Bulls. DeRozan has also made a name for himself as one of the best catchers in the league. He has hit several game-winners over the past few seasons. If the Bulls decide to move on, DeMar DeRozan will still garner plenty of interest on the open market.
Potential locations for the Star Small Forward
There are few teams that could use a scoring wing like DeMar DeRozan. One team that will show interest is the Los Angeles Lakers. DeRozan is a California native, and the Lakers know LeBron James' career window is closing. Surrounding the four-time champion with as much talent as possible is now more important than ever in Los Angeles. Another team that could target DeRozan is the Philadelphia 76ers. Although the 76ers' main targets are Paul George and Brandon Ingram, DeRozan will be another star that will provide some points to the 76ers' roster. All in all, DeMar DeRozan should have no problem finding a new home if the Chicago Bulls are ready to move on for the six-time All-Star.
