Rising Golf Star Secures Sponsorship Deal With Matfen Hall – Golf News

Budding golfer Rosie Belsham is on course to fulfill her professional ambitions with a major sponsorship deal with the country's leading five-star hotel and golf resort, Matfen Hall.

The partnership marks an important moment in Rosie's career, giving her access to world-class facilities and support that will enable her to compete at the highest levels of the sport.

Matfen Hall's scholarship gives the 22-year-old a scholarship to study at the Lalla Aicha Qualifying School in December this year. Rosie will then compete in 20 weeks of tournament play across the continent.

The grant will also help cover some travel and accommodation costs.

Matfen Hall will also give Rosie access to their state-of-the-art gymnasium and spa facilities, ensuring she maintains top form. Additionally, this five-star property serves Rosie's premium golf apparel and leisurewear.

Originally from Whitley Bay, Rosie began her golfing journey at the age of nine. He began playing close to his family, balancing his time between golf and hockey.

A natural talent, Rosie's commitment to golf deepened as she participated in national championships and decided to pursue her dreams. This led him to cross the Atlantic at the age of 18, to Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where he studied health, kinesiology, and recreation.

“My golf trip was amazing,” Rosie recalls. “I started playing seriously at the age of 14 and made the decision that changed my life to study and play in the United States.

The four years I spent at Baylor University were invaluable. The experience, both on and off the course, helped shape me and confirmed my commitment to this amazing sport.”

Returning to the UK after her graduation, Rosie sought out the famous 27-hole Matfen Hall golf course to continue her pursuit of training and her dream of becoming a champion.

“Matfen Hall has always been a special place for me,” said Rosie. “Their facilities are very good, and the environment is perfect for intensive training.

When the opportunity to join them came up, it was like a match made in heaven. Their support means the world to me as I transition into professional golf.”

James O'Donnell, Head of Business Development at Matfen Hall, said: “Rosie really impressed me when we met to discuss this opportunity, her passion for the game and her obvious talent is surpassed by her level of thinking and humility.

During Rosie's four years at Baylor University, Matfen Hall has improved in many ways.

Golf has always been an important part of our offering, however we have invested heavily in our member and guest facilities this past year with more to come.

Like Rosie we aim to have a bright future in golf, her future rise, and the professional game is an opportunity to show Matfen Hall on the international stage.
