Promoter Bob Arum says he is interested in Teofimo Lopez moving up to 147 to challenge Brian Norman Jr. challenge for his WBO welterweight title before Teo leaves for a fight against Terence Crawford.
Teofimo Sr. You Need to Agree
Lopez Sr., Teofimo's father, will need to agree to face Norman Jr. (26-0, 23 KOs) because this guy is dangerous. He can be too strong and difficult for Teo, who often crumbles under pressure.
Lopez, 26, has the size to fight Normal Jr. at welterweight because he's single now. Today, Teofimo looked like a skeleton on thie scale in his fight this Saturday night against journeyman Steve Claggett.
