Tottenham are making a huge effort to sign the Real Madrid striker

Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham are expected to be busy in the summer transfer window with the club looking to add to all positions.

As with recent transfer windows, the Spurs boss has been busy bringing new faces to the club.

Timo Werner's loan has been made permanent after he impressed the manager in the second half of last season.

Meanwhile, Spurs have made progress in their pursuit of Leeds United midfielder Archie Gray, who has attracted the attention of major clubs in England.

Now, the North London club have once again shown they mean business by inquiring about the Real Madrid striker.

The Spanish club, however, quickly dismissed the investigation into one of its players.

Spurs have reportedly made inquiries about Real Madrid's Brahim Diaz, according to a report from Footmercato.

After a three-year stint at AC Milan, the attacking midfielder — who can play as a full-back — had an incredible 2023-24 season in his first season back at Real Madrid.

Real Madrid striker Brahim Diaz is attracting attention from Tottenham.

Although he started slower than Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes, he managed to record eight goals and six assists in La Liga.

Tottenham continued to show interest, but Los Blancos firmly rejected Spurs' approach.

They assured Tottenham that the Moroccan striker would not leave this summer and that, although he may play less minutes next season, he wanted to stay in the Spanish capital.

Real Madrid want Tottenham to stay

It makes sense that Real Madrid want to keep Diaz around after his good performances.

Due to his ability to perform under pressure, he has become an important member of the team.

The arrival of Kylian Mbappe is not good news for Diaz but the 24-year-old still wants to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu and play a part in their success.

He won the La Liga and Champions League titles with Los Blancos in the 2023-24 season.
