Justis Huni Heads Home To Face Troy Pilcher On July 25 DAZN Show In Brisbane

Justis Huni is the latest Matchroom Boxing star to take home a headliner.
The undefeated Australian heavyweight returns 'Down Under' for the first time in nearly two years. Huni will face country singer Troy Pilcher on the July 25 DAZN show from Fortitude Music Hall in his hometown of Brisbane.
“We are delighted to bring such a tough fight to Brisbane,” said Mick Francis of Tasman Fighters, who is the promoter of Huni and Matchroom Boxing. “To do it with Matchroom Boxing and Gold Star Promotions is a first for Australian boxing.”
The ceremony represents a return to home and a place of close association. Huni (9-0, 4 knockouts) made his debut in October 2020 at the same venue, having his second fight later that December.
A double-battle tour has come in his latest career. Huni defeated Andrew Tabiti (21-2, 17 KOs) in October in Cancun, Mexico. In his latest start, Huni defeated Kevin Lerena (30-3, 14 KOs) this past March 8 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Pilcher (9-0-1, 7 KOs) has fought exclusively at home since his Feb. 2022. The Gold Coast-based heavyweight earned his first seven victories by knockout. That streak opened the way to a six-point comeback. Pilcher recently defeated local journeyman Renold Quinlan (17-15, 12 KOs) via unanimous decision on March 6 at Moore Park.
The event starts again. Although the top stage features shows from Australia, this will be the first weekday event (local time). It gave viewers outside the region ways to watch the show without having to fight for a broadcast, legally or otherwise.
Of course, the organizers of the event are happy for reasons related to the equality and importance of the place.
