Sram Releases New S1000 Parts and DB8 Brakes

SRAM drops a LOT of swag with the expansion of the Eagle Ecosystem and DB8 Brakes! It's been a big season during 2024 for component manufacturer SRAM, who have continued to build their transmission groups with the S-1000 Eagle Crankset, the S-1000 Eagle E-MTB crankset and a new derailleur and cassette!

The new S-1000 series is built on strength and reliability, with new cranksets available in
sizes 155, 160, 165, 170 and 175mm long: the development we like to see allows a wider range of cranks for different riders. The E-MTB crankset includes variants from SRAM, Bose, Bosch and ISIS. Cranksets will only be available as an OE product.

Sram S1000 Eagle Crankset (FC-S1000-C1)

The S-1000 Transmission crankset features a smooth, rigid crankarm built for durability and reliability. Like other cranks in the Transmission ecosystem, the S-1000 crank features 8-bolt ring compatibility and a stamped steel or aluminum ring with optional bash guards for durability and road protection. Matching chainring and bashguard options allow for easy aftermarket customization.

Sram S-1000 Eagle E-MTB Crankset (FC-S1000-PA-C1)

The IS-1000 Transmission E-MTB crank is a smooth, rugged crankarm built for durability and reliability. This unique design is made of aluminum for strength and reliability without compromising weight. SRAM, Brose, and Bosch motors are matched with a Sram “gap cap” for a fun composite look.

Sram S-1000 Eagle Rear Derailleur (RD-S1000-A1)

The IS-1000 Eagle Transmission derailleur is the entry point into the Eagle Transmission ecosystem. Using the same architecture as Sram's GX Eagle Transmission derailleur, the Full Mount design mounts around the wheel axle itself without a hanger required, bringing strength and durability to UDH bikes. Cassette Mapping, the marriage of the derailleur firmware and the hardware of our T-Type cassettes, helps to deliver the best change under load, even under the increased power of E-MTB. And like all Eagle Transmission derailleurs, it's rebuildable, with replaceable skid plates and a two-piece outer link, as well as a removable cage assembly that simply rotates. Featuring a gloss black on black look, this derailleur can be mixed and matched with all other T-Type ecosystem components. The 1000 Eagle Transmission derailleur also features our new Drag Spring Cage Damper for reliable maintenance and long-term durability.

Sram XS-1270 Eagle Cassette (CS-XS-1270-A1)

Keeping the same award-winning technology as other Sram cassettes, the XS-1270 Eagle Transmission Cassette offers incredible performance for more riders. Finished in a unique nickel chrome, this cassette is quiet, durable and has a set of adjustable gears. And for the first time in a traditional split driver body, it features a full 10-52t range thanks to the combination of a 10-tooth cog and lock.

The code-like power comes as no surprise, as the DB8 uses the same caliper design as the existing brakes.
